Ashley Skinner MSW, RSW is a registered clinical therapist working in private practice. She is a Certified Advanced EFFT Therapist
and Supervisor with the International Institute for EFFT. Ashley has over 10 years experience working with caregivers to help
harness the healing power of families. She also has a special interest in using emotion-focused treatment modalities to support
individuals struggling with eating disorders, trauma and complex grief.
Ashley provides treatment, consultation and clinical supervision services in the areas of: general mental health,
parenting/caregiving, eating disorders, trauma and complex grief (including the death of a loved one by suicide).
At this time all sessions/consultations/supervision are offered virtually.
Ashley practices from an emotion-focused framework in collaboration with the client to develop targets that help lead to emotional
healing. She works from a belief that everyone is doing the best they can and that current maladaptive patterns/styles/coping
were once vitally needed for the individual but are now no longer serving individuals current goals and desires or needed in their
Her practice is inclusive of all races, genders, sexual identities, orientations and spiritual beliefs. The impacts of intergenerational
trauma and cultural influences/discourses are paramount in her practice.
